Kazuki Ihara is a research scientist working in the Smart Energy Research Laboratories at NEC Corporation in Japan. He received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. in applied chemistry, and Doctor of Engineering in chemical system engineering from Kyushu University in 2002, 2004 and 2007 respectively.

His research interests are in the interaction between materials and photon, surface science on nano materials and a development of novel electronic devices.
